Blast Off

Here's a card I made while at my parents' house during hurricane Sandy.  To all of you affected by the storm, I hope you are all safe and sound.  I was without power for four days, which isn't that bad considering past experiences.  My house is jinxed and whenever there's a storm, we seem to get hit pretty hard.  A few months ago, the cable box outside was struck by lightening and it burned out my new t.v., the kids Playstation and several other items.  What's next?  A rocket ship burning through the sky, blasting through my roof?  Maybe it will look like this one!
My 5 year old, Domenic, has so many birthday parties coming up and rather than buy the next one, I decided to make one.  The rocket ship is from Boys Will Be Boys.   I embossed the orange planet which is a Nestabilities circle die and body of the ship.  I see lots of hand doodling out there and tried it myself.    The tag is a QuicKutz die and the sentiment and little stamps are from a clear stamp set that my mom has.  I layered two buttons and used up some of that fun colored twine from mom's stash.   The fun paper is from a 6x6 Bo Bunny pad called Blast Off.

I am entering my card in the:
Fantabulous Cricut challenge, since I have embossed DOTS on my rocket ship
Here Come the Boys challenge, DIE CUTS/Punches, since the planet and tag are die cut
Challenges 4 Everybody, since it's Anything Goes!
