I wanted to make a special card for my grandson, Angelo, who is graduating from Pre-K. Angelo attends a special needs school and he has had many struggles in his two years at school. But for every bump along the way, he's made much progress. So proud of my little buddy!
My adorable little graduate was done using my Cricut Explore and one of the characters from the Create a Friend cartridge. I had some lingering Cricut Reward Points that were just sitting in my account, collecting virtual dust, so I figured I'd cash them in before it was too late. The cartridge was free, along with a free one-year subscription to the Cricut Circle. Haven't been a member of the Circle for at least 3 years, but it was free, so why not?
I only used the bottom layer of the body, opting to not use the cut-out face, and instead used a Peachy Keen stamp. The "Pre-K" is also a PK stamp from a large school set. The small banner and stamp are a Stampin' Up! punch and stamp. The splatter stamp is also Stampin' Up! The green rectangle was cut using a My Creative Time stitched die and the background was embossed with a Paper Studio embossing folder (Hobby Lobby). The yellow piece is a really cool, textured paper from Sizzix, which I've had for many years.
I used the sketch from the current challenge at Die Cuttin Divas.
